Once again hanging around at home tonight, looking boring egyptian soaps I don’t even understand, online-amazon-shopping and the worst, rebuffing friends and missing a party! Ok, already had a tiny after-show-one last night with Greis&Co. and yeah, actually their performance was great, the crowd went nuts (first Hip Hop lifeact in Damas) and there was fluffy carpet on the floor! :-)  And no sorry, no pix, of course my camera went out of batteries, Murphy’s law… And why this misery now? BUGS, catched me again! They even detain me from going to sleep! When will this nightmare end? I’m gonna getting depressed!

This is obviously what I became, at least my roomnumber, 414,  is clearly written on a blackboard in the staircaise, definitely not foreseen to be used by guests (I’m soooo sporty!) but mainly intended for the hotelstaff:

This must be the result of blackmailing the hoteldirecter with Swiss chocolate et j’ai gagné 100 points en lui causant en français (Monsieur a fait ses études d’hôtellerie en Suisse Romande et était tellement ravi de pouvoir bavarder dans sa langue préférée…). Bref, it was worth it, my room’s really ok!

freundschaft syrien-schweiz

… to Damascus! Here I am, amidst the arabic world, about or even over 20 sunny but windy degrees in the middle of the desert; status: entirley relaxed after dinner with a new friend, tired and ready for naptime, with a conclusion in my mind: there’s a lot of new and likewise a lot of familiar. Yep, this is probably the first time I can take advantage of rather futile happenings in my past – see, whatever you get up to, experience is just priceless! Can’t wait to see more of my transitory hometown and can’t wait to see the local’s faces when discovering my tattoo, hehe!
