Quel domaine que la femme emancipée des annés zéro ne metriserait-elle pas? Même celui du remorquage elle gère à perfection. Moi, j’ai remorqué! Ou mieux, Martín a remorqué. Sa proie: Jola! Bon, faut que je m’explique: Martín c’est ma caisse (pourquoi mon 4×4 s’appelle ainsi est une autre histoire…) et Jola celle de mes voisins. Ceux-ci ont passé leur dimanche soir à la Pizzeria “Da Carmen” à Abidjan / Riviera (meilleure Pizza de la ville, tagliatelle, gnocchi, profiteroles et tiramisù fait à maison, la cuisinière une Calabrese… Vaut le détour). Bref, Jola a du s’enjailler également on voyant quelques Fiat ou Alfa très chic, en tout cas elle refusait de bouger, embrayage foutu! Et puis c’est là où Martín, le héro follement amoureux de Jola depuis un bon moment (hélas son parking se trouvant à l’autre bout du garage, il n’ a guère pu faire preuve de son charme de Porteño…) a apparu pour sauver sa chérie Jola. Bon, avec un petit aide de JJ (c’est jacqueline.s, on m’a renommé – you like? ) et AF (non, pas AirFrance, mais mon Rasta neighbour – the one on UpperEastside). Donc nous voilà, dimanche soir, 23h, Jola à la traîne de Martín, à traverser la ville à environ 45 km/h (sciéiiii, la honte, j’ai une réputation de conductrice sauvage à perdre…). Une corde qui fait à peine 2m, je crois de me rappeler qu’ elle devrait mesurer au moins 5m? Tant pis, en Afrique ça marche à 2m aussi!

Na, ob das bei einem Temperaturunterschied von mehr oder weniger 35°C wohl die richtige Entscheidung war? Wir werden sehen, ob der Klimaschock grippale Auswirkungen hat, ich sorge jedenfalls vor und verabreiche mir täglich eine Dosis Mutlivitamin-Brausedrink. Wie auch immer, mit oder ohne Schnupfnase (ich hoffe doch ohne!), ich bin für eine kurze Afrikaverschnaufpause back in Switzerland, 16. – 31.01.2012. C ya there!

Wish you an excellent 2012, you shall be as happy as I am!

Still looking for a decent New Year’s Resolution and definitely fed up with the usual ones you abandon after 4 days anyway? Like finally avoid fags (or sugar, fat, alcohol, the mother-in-law, etc), losing weight (or jog around the block every morning before work, get in shape however to wear a size-zero-jeans, attend 3 times a week yoga and pilates lessons, leave the car at home and walk instead, avoid elevators, etc.), learning Arabic or Chinese (or ballet, or playing the guitar, or dancing Flamenco, or Waltz, Tango, Salsa, Rumba, or watercoloring sunsets, or spending more time with the husband/wife, or write a book, or in short “I stop watching so much TV”!!), sleeping 8h per night (haha…), and so on. So then, some inspiration, watch this (and I promise, if you take them all, you might become as happy as I am!):

One thousand acknowledgements to my Westsidecrew – miss you guys – cioè i miei carissimi vicini, o meglio, mia famiglia sostitutiva qui in Costa d’Avorio. Benché abbiano deciso di passare le feste in Svizzera (e di abbandonarmi!), mi hanno pensato, prestandomi loro alberello di natale, incluso decorazione e lampadine disco! Che splendore nel mio soggiorno! Bellissimo! Perciò anche senza vino caldo, mercatini di Natale, temperature fredde e città illuminate, lo spirito natalizio a casa mia ormai c’è!

Natale non solo sussiste, dove sono accese le luci, ma ovunque rendiamo un po’ più chiaro il mondo!

Poi ragazzi, sinceramente, l’idea di passare questi giorni di festa sotto le palme, planando gentilmente direzione 2012, i piedini nella sabbia, sorbendo un Rosé ben fresco e guardando il sole che tramonta nel mare, ha innegabilmente un certo fascino per sé!

Danke Mama, danke Kemalu für eure lieben Präsente (die Stahldrahtkugel-Lampe ist der füdleblutte Wahnsinn, oder?)! Komme ich doch glatt in Hardcore-Weihnachtsstimmung, trotz Hitze und Palmen vor der Haustüre! Ok, zugegeben, das Guezliföteli ist geklaut, um diese selber zu backen, ist mein Hausfrauengen (noch) nicht genug ausgereift… Es handelt sich übrigens um Rentierli und nicht um Eseli. Und die haben einen roten Punkt auf dem A…sch, weil dort am meisten Platz ist. Ähä. Nur für den Fall, dass sich jemand ebenso blöde Fragen stellt wie ich!
