I did it again! Not the GT-thing, choice is ways better here, Raki and stuff… Well, will not do that again either…  No, what I meant is leaving the café without my fancy cellphone! Last time it happened in Bangkok after “bedsuppering” – the waiters kindly put it aside, in case the holder might pick it up, which I did, full of grace!

This time my phone had not only doubled its value (cause of the chic LV-case the girlz offerd me for my birthday), but also didn’t I even notice its loss until the following day (see, that’s the thing, you don’t miss your cell if your friends are countable on one hand and you meet them every day in the office anyway… too sad, I know). Apparently the guys at the bar desperately checked my phone for any Turkish numbers (after having changed the language in Turkish, which was kinda challenging for me to put it back in German later…) and finally called Leyla. Leyla, who just had read my future from my coffee grounds that night (yeah, they do that sort of stuff here, I’m supposed to meet the guy of my dreams, future husband and father of my children soon!), predicting that in a short time a at first sight negative thing would happen, which would have a positive ending! Et voilà! Do you think I’ll be that lucky again the third time I forget my cell? Well, gotta ask my coffee I suppose…

… ging’s mal wieder, eben noch in der Hitze in Hanoi geschmort und gebührend meinen Abschied gefeiert, letzte durchtanzte, verschwitzt-klebrig-feuchte Nächte (ich spreche selbstverständlich von den Auswirkungen der unvorteilhaften klimatischen Bedingungen!) in Solace und Lighthouse, packen, letzte Fussmassage und Pedicure für USD 7 (!!!) und Arbeitsübergabe im Büro. Dann ging’s gleich rasend weiter in der CH, angekommen am Freitagvormittag, am Nachmittag schon wieder on the way nach Lugano. Von dort mit etlichen Pitstops in der Deutsch-Schweiz nach Genf, und tja, dann war’s vorbei, die Joggingrunde zum Wiederaufpeppen hat in einer Achyllessehnenentzündung gegipfelt und da war klar, das war too much, man ist schliesslich keine 20 mehr!

Jetzt bin ich schon seit fast einer Woche in Ankara, habe mich mit Bleibe (ich erspar’ euch diesmal die Homestory, sonst hab’ ich hinterher jedes Weekend Besuch, hehe…), näherer Umgebung (vor allem der Shoppingmeile!), Büro und Kollegen vertraut gemacht, und ja, langsam ist auch mein verwirrter Geist hier angekommen, die Erschöpfung lässt nach, das Bein schmerzt dank Mama’s Wärmepflaster nicht mehr und die Erkältungsviren (Sabri, das sind die Folgen von Willy’s und Tony’s, I’m sure!) sind vertrieben. Fit für neue Untaten, c ya guys soon, maybe in Istanbul?

… in CH, from 16 to 26 of October, indeed very short, was hoping to have more time but seems they need me desperately in Ankara, you never know when the girl on maternity leave I’m replacing is gonna have her baby… But hey, better a short vacation than nothing  and I mean, gotta exchange my light, little summer dresses with heavy winter coats, scarfs and gloves, average temperature in winter’s between 5 and -5°C, brrrrrrr… But finally, can take my 15 pairs of boots out of the cupboard, yeah! Anyway, still hope there’s time at least for a coffee or apero? Let me know asap when you’re available, can’t wait to see you all again!

Til then I’m gonna enjoy time with my last guest from Beijing, those really comfy, autumnally 30 degrees (intermitted with a crispy Taifun every now and then, although the one we have right now, coming over from the Philippines, is not that funny, lots of damage in the South of Vietnam…), heating up the tenniscourt (I’m slowly becoming a pro!), check out once again that party boat on the Red River, crying a little more for (Argen)Tina (really miss ya Honey, Hanoi’s definitely not the same without you…) and yeah, you know, those usual boring affairs like packing and stuff. Two weeks and this adventure will be over, heaven, time goes by too quickly, I feel sooooo old, tztz!

Zwar schon ne Weile her, aber nun doch noch ein paar Pix von dieser absoluten Hammer Stadt. Muss ja fast, nachdem ich jeden der’s hören wollte (und alle anderen…) vollgelabert habe mit meinen Schwärmereien. Hong Kong ist das New York von Südostasien and still very british, was für Luxusliebhaber, Pärchen, beste Freundinnen und Alleingänger, Städtetripper und Durchreisende, Nichtraucher (man beachte die enormen Bussen bei Nichtbenutzen der Aschenbecher und die rauchfreien public places… obwohl angesichts der smoggy Luft kommt’s auch nicht mehr drauf an!), und was für Shopaholics und Nachtschwärmer sowieso. Ich kann nur sagen, ich hab’ zwar ein Vermögen dagelassen (ok, auf die private Yogalession, Massage, Powershopping, ***** Hotel und all die anderen little treats könnte man ja verzichen…), aber es war’s absolut wert!
